On the last Sunday of every month, Bowery Poetry hosts This is Your Song, a music open mic contest for singer/songwriters. Last Sunday I went up on stage and performed a song I wrote, Sentimental Hooker. Be sure and stop by for an evening of great entertainment – next one is Sunday, August 30th. (To hear some of my other songs, go here).
Got to view the Met’s China: Through the Looking Glass exhibit before the crowds. Amazingly imaginative and inspiring! Check out my Facebook page for the Through the Looking Glass album (and special thanks to Dina Pinos for inviting me and Ayaka May Komatsu to the press opening!)
John Oliver just did an amazingly on target segment on the fashion industry. Pointing out that 98% of our clothing is made overseas, and often using child labor, he made a strong statement against sweatshops and our out-of-control need for cheap clothing.

Sweatshop Boogie is going solo. To United Solo, that is – the world’s largest solo theatre festival, currently celebrating its 6th season. Tickets are available now for my performance on Thursday, October 8 at 7:30pm. Mark your calendars and get your tickets – it’s going to be a wild musically comic adventure!
